The Wheel of Names Picker is a versatile and free online tool designed to help users make fair, random selections quickly and engagingly. Whether you need to pick a student, draw a giveaway winner, or simply decide what to eat for dinner, this spinner wheel provides an impartial solution. It operates entirely within your browser, requiring no downloads, installations, or sign-ups, making it accessible on any device from desktops to phones.
How it Works: The process is straightforward:
- Add your names: Users type or paste a list of entries (names, numbers, prizes, ideas) into the provided text box, one per line.
- Pick a style: Choose from various pastel color palettes. Options to shuffle or sort entries alphabetically are available.
- Spin the wheel: A simple click on the wheel or the "Spin" button initiates the process. The wheel spins, gradually slows down, and lands on a randomly selected entry.
The randomness is ensured by the Web Crypto API, which generates a secure random number to determine the exact stopping point. Each entry receives an equal slice of the wheel, guaranteeing fairness and unpredictability.
