Orbi turns labeled GitHub Issues into reviewed, merged pull requests. It is an open-source AI software factory: you describe the goal and the acceptance criteria in an issue, label it ai-ready, and Orbi takes the issue from there. The source code is available at https://github.com/orbi-build/orbi under the AGPL-3.0 license, and it is built and maintained by Lawrence Liu (GitHub: xqliu).
Key features
- Issue-driven work: Orbi starts from the goal and acceptance criteria written in a GitHub Issue, so the issue stays the single source of truth for what should be built. Orbi runs a coding agent in an isolated workspace after you label an issue ai-ready, runs the tests, and opens a pull request. A separate AI session reviews the change and fixes what it finds, and a merge gate checks the reviewed commit and CI before merging. Releases, deploys, and debugging can also be handed to Orbi, with every command and its output kept on the issue. Self-host it with your own model Orbi Cloud is also available. First 3 merged pull requests are free.
