See what a backlink from any website is worth, in dollars. Free BV score and site report: link type, traffic, server and the source of every figure.
mxverify is a free, no-sign-up online tool designed to help users understand the true value of a backlink from any website. It provides a unique "BV score" (Backlink Value), which quantifies the ranking benefit of one new followed link from a given site in dollars. This score is not a reflection of what a seller might charge, but rather an objective measure derived from the same sophisticated model (BV 2.8) that bklink.uk uses for its link audits.
The core functionality revolves around evaluating a website's potential to pass on ranking benefit. Users simply enter a website domain, and mxverify generates a comprehensive report. This report includes the site's overall BV score, the specific worth of different link types (editorial, guest post, neutralised, network), detailed information on how the site links out, its estimated traffic, server details, and age. Crucially, all figures are presented with their respective sources, ensuring transparency. All generated reports are publicly accessible.
The BV score is determined by two primary factors:
The tool also considers "Relevance" (from ×0.5 for unrelated to ×1.25 for same topic) in a full bklink audit, though on mxverify reports, it's typically set at ×1. If bklink has previously audited links on a site, mxverify uses that data to determine the link type; otherwise, it analyzes the site's homepage and articles to assess its linking practices and whether it sells posts.
mxverify also highlights "Link networks," identifying groups of sites under a single owner based on shared server footprints, private nameservers, registration patterns, and identical audited purchases. Links from such networks are classified as Type D, indicating a significantly lower value.
The platform emphasizes its independence, stating that it sells no links and no site pays to be listed or valued, ensuring unbiased assessments. It also transparently lists limitations, such as valuing sites not rated by Ahrefs at $0 and acknowledging that audit figures are based on customer-chosen links, not random samples.
