What GPT-Video is
GPT-Video is a browser-based AI video editor for short-form content. Edit by describing the cut instead of working on a timeline (vibe editing), or drop in a long podcast, interview or stream VOD and get every strong moment back as a vertical, captioned clip for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. It edits your own footage: it is not a text-to-video or avatar generator, and it never publishes anything for you.
Vibe editing
Type "remove the silences and add captions", "make it vertical and keep the speaker in frame" or "start two seconds earlier". The Editor Assistant shows its plan, applies it in a real rendering pipeline and saves it as a step you can undo in one click.
Automatic clips from long videos
- Transcription: every word is transcribed and timestamped.
- Clip selection: segments are scored for hooks, payoffs and self-contained stories.
- Why this clip?: each pick shows scores for hook, payoff, clarity and emotion.
- Review: accept, trim or reject each clip before export.
Captions and 9:16 reframing
Face tracking keeps speakers in frame when 16:9 footage becomes 9:16. Word-accurate animated captions are burned in, with presets you can restyle by chat. Export is a vertical MP4 (4K on Creator and Studio).
